Events & Tables notification to Host: Warning about the impact when a booking is updated - Phase 1 - PPL-1002
The aim of this feature is to ensure that the Host is aware of any impact to a booking when conditions are being updated. For example, if an already confirmed menu or occasion with a requirement of card guarantee is changed to one without such requirement, Events Host will receive a pop out asking the user to confirm the changes that are being made, as seen in the screen capture below:
Events - Events Host - Enquiries Beta name change to Bookings List - PPL-952
The aim of this feature is to rename the tabs on the Host application as seen in the table and screen capture marked with red frame below:
Old Name |
New Name |
Bookings |
Day Diary |
Enquiries Beta Page |
Bookings List |
Please note - there is no change in functionality, Enquiries Beta is no longer in Beta stage and as such has been renamed to reflect this.
Events - Events Guest Portal – Limit the impact of Organisers making changes in Guest Portal - PPL-1005
The aim of this feature is to limit the loss of booking requirements when there is an unintentional change by the organiser on their booking through the Guest Portal & External API.
Currently, when the organiser reduces the number of attendees through the guest portal, booking requirements (i.e. Pre-order & Deposit) may be lost as a new booking rule is applied to the booking. This creates an inconvenience for the organiser and the host.
With this new feature, any change in the number of attendees by the organiser (guest) will not trigger another booking rule and the initial booking rule will be kept, thus limiting any possible confusion over the requisites of the booking.
Events - Events Host – Show Tasks banner on top of booking panel - PPL-1099
The aim of this feature is to improve the Host experience for tasks functionality on the Host App. Currently, when a task is created for a booking, the Host must navigate to the tasks tab to view the task.
As shown in the screen capture below, a task banner has been created and will be displayed on the booking panel. At first glance, the Host will be able to see if there any pending tasks for a booking.
Events & Tables - Ability to set Turn Times for Areas in Tables/Events (Part 2 of 2) - PPL-993
This feature will allow users to set a turn time per Bookable area (Capacity Group) via Events Admin, e.g.; Bookings in the bar will have a turn time of 1 hour and bookings in the restaurant will have a turn time of 2 hours.
Please note, the hierarchic for Turn Times are; 1. Occasion, 2 Area (capacity group), 3 Covers and 4 Default (in Tables). This has not changed the way turn times work, but added another level.

Tables - Tables Host - Quick Changes to Bookings, Cover
The host will be able to make quick changes to a booking by reducing covers quickly.
Events / Tables Host - Notifications to the Host about Changes to the Booking -Phase 2 - Ignore Booking Rule
Enhancement on the first part of this feature released in 1.58.0, the Host will have the option to ignore a Booking Rule.

Zonal ID | Description |
---|---|
392770 | [Events] Events Host - Edit Requirements update error |

427611 | [Events] Event Host App - Tables availability check - Table Join - NOT correctly assigning table Join when Join is already occupied in the future |

External API – Get Areas – Remove 'companyID' parameter because it’s not working
The aim of this technical fix is not to accept company ID parameters when a call is made through the External API > Get areas. Hence, the system does not throw 400 bad request errors anymore.
